What to expect

BEFORE:

BOOKING YOUR SESSION

After you’ve decided on the Portrait Session that best fits your needs, give me a call to book your day and time.  I’ll set up a contract for you that outlines what your session covers and put you on my shoot schedule.

PAYMENT

A 20% Non-Refundable Deposit is required at time of booking to secure and confirm your Portrait Session.  Final payment is required on day of your session.

DURING:

SESSION DAY

We’ve chosen your location, talked about wardrobe, how to prepare for your session and what to bring the day of, so now all you have to do is show up on time and ready to shoot.  It’s a fun experience!

IMAGE REVEAL | ORDERING

This is where you view all edited images and you choose the images for your package.  You can also order prints, wall art and albums at this time.

AFTER:

PRINT DELIVERY, DIGITAL IMAGES & PRINT RELEASE

Approximately 2-3 weeks after placing your Print Order, I will deliver your products to you.  If you purchased the USB drive upgrade then you will receive the edited digital images that you chose from your session on a USB drive.

What to wear

A few simple tips that will make your family photos look timeless and beautiful for years to come.

Try to avoid logo’s - designer names might make you feel great today but in 10 or 20 years there is nothing that dates a photo like clothes that were very ‘in fashion’ for the time. Stick to timeless pieces that will never go out of fashion - jeans and plain t-shirts, or a classic chino and shirts

When you have family portraits done you want your eye to be drawn to your beautiful family’s faces, and not jarring zigzags across a bright sweater so big patterns are a no-no.

Whites and pastels always look great in summer, and browns and beiges in the fall

Whatever you choose to wear make sure its appropriate for weather and location. This one speaks for itself but if its cold, make sure to wear layers, we can take coats off but we don’t want you to be freezing cold, painting on a smile.

Overall try to dress in a way that you feel comfortable and happy, you won’t want to have to pose with a smile in something uncomfortable.

Let the memories be of a fun day out with your family, rather than an uncomfortable session where you were trying to force your kids to smile.
